🌟 Thrilled to share some fantastic news—many of our SEEM group's conference papers have been successfully published! This achievement is especially meaningful, as it builds the foundation for many of the national innovations that we have proudly developed and won recognition for throughout this year. For more details and updates, visit our website. 📚
Brief overview of our five key papers and their groundbreaking findings
1. Enhancing Wastewater Treatment Efficiency through Photosynthetic Bacteria Activation
Summary: This study proposes an innovative method for enhancing wastewater treatment using photosynthetic bacteria (PSB), chicken egg nutrients, and a fiber-optic light-guided system. Key Findings: The research identified the importance of optimal dissolved oxygen levels and light intensity for efficient treatment, emphasizing the adaptability of LED light as a supplemental source for different environmental conditions.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.4028/p-gx3v3r

2. Hydrogel for Aqueous Methylene Blue Removal: Natural Rubber/Poly(ethylene Glycol) Methyl Ether Methacrylate Semi-IPN
Summary: This paper introduces a semi-IPN hydrogel using natural rubber (NR) and PEGMA to remove Methylene Blue dye from water.
Key Findings: The optimal PEGMA/NR ratio (90/10) achieved a significant adsorption capacity of 6536 mg/g, with structural integrity confirmed by SEM and FTIR analysis, proving its potential for industrial wastewater treatment.
3. Innovative Lead Removal: Natural Rubber Latex Foam/Coconut Shell-Based Activated Carbon Composite Authors: Various
Summary: The study focuses on developing NRLF combined with coconut shell-based activated carbon for removing lead (Pb2+) ions. Key Findings: The highest Pb2+ adsorption (1.28 mg/g) was achieved with 5 phr activated carbon, showing that content variation influenced crosslink density, morphology, and adsorption efficiency.
4. A Novel Elastomeric Dielectric Material: Natural Rubber/Copper-Modified Activated Carbon Authors: Thanathach Yingshataporn-a-nan , Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nathapong Sukhawipat, and Panachai Thusanaphoom
Summary: This research presents a unique dielectric material made from natural rubber and copper-modified activated carbon.
Key Findings: Copper incorporation reduced curing time, affected crosslink density, enhanced mechanical properties, and influenced dielectric properties in the 0.85-1.15 GHz range, suggesting potential for customized applications in dielectric materials. DOI: Read here These works represent a collective effort to push the boundaries of sustainable and innovative solutions. We are immensely proud of these contributions and look forward to the new possibilities they unlock.

5. Optimization of FDM 3D Printer Process Parameters to Minimize Dimensional Errors with PLA Material Using Response Surface Methodology
Summary: This study leverages response surface methodology (RSM) to develop a second-order model for identifying the optimal process parameters to minimize length errors (LE) and diameter errors (DE) in fused deposition modeling (FDM) with PLA material.
Key Findings: The study focused on adjusting layer height (LH) between 0.1 to 0.4 mm and print speed (PS) between 20 to 60 mm/s. The optimized parameters discovered through RSM resulted in significantly reduced dimensional errors compared to the standard settings provided by the UltiMaker Cura software.
These advancements contribute to the precision and reliability of 3D printing, setting a new benchmark for minimizing dimensional inaccuracies in additive manufacturing.
