SEEM Research Center express sincere appreciation to the organizers of the executive seminar “Ultimate Zero Waste Thailand: Transforming 3Z Waste into Valuable Resources.”
It was a true honor and privilege to take part in this inspiring gathering and to listen to the shared vision of leaders from different faculties, universities, startups, SMEs, and business sectors, all contributing their perspectives toward a more sustainable future for Thailand.
What stood out most from this seminar was the clear recognition that the challenge of excessive waste cannot be addressed through disposal alone. It requires a fundamental redesign of the system itself, where waste is no longer treated merely as an endpoint, but reimagined as a valuable resource through the 3Z concept, systems thinking, effective use of data, and meaningful collaboration across sectors.
We was especially inspired by the broader vision presented during the discussion: that Thailand still holds significant potential to create transformative change when research, innovation, technology, economic mechanisms, and policy design are brought together in a coherent and practical way. In that sense, sustainability is not simply an aspiration, but something that can be translated into measurable and impactful action.
This seminar also reaffirmed for me the importance of collaboration between academia, government, industry, and emerging enterprises. Each sector has a vital role to play in building a future where resources are used more wisely, waste is reduced more systematically, and long-term sustainability becomes a shared national direction.
Our heartfelt thanks to the organizers, speakers, and all participants for creating such a thoughtful and visionary platform. It was truly my pleasure to listen, learn, and reflect on the many possibilities for advancing practical and sustainable solutions to Thailand’s waste and resource challenges.

On behalf of the Sustainable Energy & Engineering Materials (SEEM) Research Center, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to Siampower Co., Ltd. for kindly sharing their knowledge, experience, and real-world practices with our students and faculty members.
Your talk opened an important perspective on how waste can be transformed into value through systematic separation, efficient thermal conversion, power generation, and environmental control. It reminded us that waste is not simply something to discard, but a resource that can be managed wisely to reduce landfill burden, recover value, and contribute to a more sustainable energy future. The integration of waste incineration and electricity generation is truly a vital pathway in addressing waste challenges at a larger scale.
We are especially grateful for your willingness to share not only the technical process of plant operation, but also the broader mindset behind sustainable waste management — one that encourages society to see waste through the lens of responsibility, innovation, and opportunity. This has been deeply valuable for both our students and teachers, helping bridge classroom learning with industrial reality.
Thank you once again to Siampower Co., Ltd. for inspiring us with your commitment to turning waste into value. We truly look forward to future collaboration and shared efforts toward a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable society. #SEEMResearchCenter
